Nagoya station Takayama was a memorable stop for our Japan trip adventure back in late February 2020. Known for its beautifully preserved history and alpine surroundings, it offered a wonderful contrast to the bigger cities. We bought a 5 days JR pass (S$152.50) for this trip and activated it on the day we leave Nagoya for Takayama. Link to JR pass: Klook JR pass Stayed for 2 Nights in Takayama Took an early JR train from Nagoya. Welcome to St John’s island Visit to St John’s island and Kusu island Visited St John’s Island in 2020, one of the many islands south of Singapore for a quick escape. The islands were just a short ferry ride from Marina South Pier. This tranquil Southern Island escape offers surprisingly clear waters, quiet beaches, and a welcome dose of nature. Just enjoy the nice scenery and breeze there! What to prepare before visiting? There are no shops selling food and drinks especially in St John’s island. For Kusu Island it depends, if you are visiting on the 9th month of…

View from MBS SkyPark This post is to pen down my experience at the iconic Marina bay sands hotel. Instantly recognizable by its three hotel towers connected by the Sands SkyPark, it’s a major landmark and premier destination. Besides being a luxury hotel, MBS features a massive casino, high-end shopping mall (The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands), the ArtScience Museum, multiple theatres, celebrity chef restaurants, and extensive convention facilities etc.. We had a chance to stay in this hotel during the Covid period whereby government promotes travel within Singapore. We paid about S$550 for a 1 night stay in end…

The Cascading foot bath for soaking your feet! Sembawang hot spring .. is one of the few natural hot spring in Singapore! Yes Singapore has a natural hot spring and more than 1! However, Sembawang hot spring is the only publicly accessible hot spring on mainland Singapore. The other hot spring is located on Pulau Tekong which is not open to the public. My visit to the hot spring was right after the renovation in 2020. The place was nicely renovated and it was quite crowded. Park opening time: The park is open daily from 7 am to 7 pm…
