Free & Easy Japan Gifu region – 8D7N Part 4/4: Osaka, Expenses
April 20, 2025
This is the last part of my Pre-covid central Japan trip.
We were really lucky that we manage to visit Japan right before all the lockdowns and restrictions.
Time flies, it has been 5 years since the start of covid.. was glad that i can continue travelling 🙂
From Kanazawa, we took the JR to Osaka making use of our 5 days JR Pass.
Journey is about 2hour 10min
We reached Osaka and stayed for 1 night only this time since we had visited Osaka before.
Hotel Grocery Osaka Namba
Located very near to JR Namba and Namba station, it is very convenient, about 10- 15min walk to Dontobori area and right beside OCAT Bus terminal which we can take a bus to Kansai airport easily.
The room size was quite ok as well, we can open our luggage with some space to walk.
We would still recommend this hotel for its price and location~
Hotel Grocery Osaka Namba
Had some food/snacks nearby the hotel
*Had forgotten the name of the restaurant but it was somewhere in Kuromon market which is about 12min walk from the hotel.
Fresh sashimi and some yakitori
Some of the must try food in osaka..
Yakisoba, Okonomiyaki (お好み焼き)
Must go – Dontobori Osaka (道頓堀)
It is one of the famous location for tourists in the heart of Osaka.
You’ve got to see the famous Glico Running Man and that giant mechanical crab; they’re even more impressive in person.
Crowded street behind Dontobori river
Ichiran ramen is a must try in Japan
Tastes sooo nice in this cold weather
how beautiful
the famous glico running man in osaka dontobori
another famous dish: Takoyaki – octopus ball
Last day in Japan..
We had a quick lunch nearby before heading to the airport for 5pm flight to SIN.
Gonna miss this cold weather..
